First Communion Celebration

You may have wondered why I haven't post my renovate living room pictures. Well, the reason is because my mind was set in a kind of "party-modus" with the preparations for my son's First Communion reception.

After a beautiful and ceremony at Bergen's St. Paul Kirke family and friends enjoyed us to celebrate our little man´s special day.

Finally I could see my work put together and everybody loved the theme.
{Here} is my Pinterest inspiration board for this event.

I will be back in my "interior-modus" soon, but today we have Legos to build and games to play.
 Happy Sunday!

Empty

This was our living room last week.
I just cleaned everything and wanted to star all over again.

This black and white clean style is peaceful and I did enjoyed for a while, but if you have seen my previous posts you've noticed that I love the colors!

My hubby did a super job helping me with this project!
I will blog about our new living room soon!
Can you guess what the changes are?

Have a nice week.

I Love Challanges

I love blog challenges because I see them like an opportunity to improve my home, try different styles and develop new ideas. For the new NIB challenge, Spring preparations, the entry of the house was the chosen place for a makeover.

For this make over I used things that I had from before, like the birdhouses.

I decided to give them a new life with colors that I love and I added my own personal details with the "home sweet home" wordart.

I printed the letters from Word, cut them and pasted them to the birdhouses using transparent glue.

I am so happy for all your the comments. Specially when I share my own creativity.
Thank you very much for visiting LFS :)
Love,

Special Place Card Holders

I made special place card holders with modeling clay and copper wire, for the ladies that are coming to celebrate our little man First Communion.

For the men I am going to use the mustaches card holders and for the ladies stars and hearts decorated with mini angel wings from Panduro.

The napkins are from Ikea and I made the napkin ring mustache using this clip art. The blue cup is from Rice.

Here are the two table seating's. It is a contrast between little gentlemen and angels. I only need to choose a tablecloth and a table runner.

Today we are going to check out the party location.
Have a nice day.

My Kind Of Décor

My kind of décor is free style all the way. Not only "Do It Yourself" but "Finding Yourself". If you have a project pining ideas on Pinterest is a great tool, but if you are also following amazing creative people you can get confuse.

One of the creative people I follow is Lisa Reid Mjaavatten. I have followed her blog Roomdesing, Facebook Page and Pinterest Boards ever since I started my blog and I had the pleasure of meeting her in person and recently attend one of hers Interior Courses at Urdihuset.

Lisa is a New Zealander Interior Designer living in Bergen. She has a very unique style and working with her you can find your kind of décor, one that reflects your personality not matter if you are following trends or like a special designer.

During the course she talked about how to pick up the best color for a room and that gave me the best idea that I needed for a make over project I am going to work on this weekend.

If you are thinking on attend any interior course I have two advices:
1. Bring it on! Ask all the questions you can.
2. Your style is yours and people may love it or hate it but don't degrade your own style for the sake of others.

Here is a post by Lisa about her Masterclass.

Musthave

I am back! We had a very peaceful and meaningful Easter; I hope yours too!. There are still some chickens and eggs rolling around the house but they are being put away soon because we have new things to plan.
One of them is our son Daniel's First Communion.

Since this is a celebration in honor of our little man I made this mustaches place card holders using modelling clay and copper wire. I got the Mustache Party inspiration from this cute website: The Party Dress.

I am finalizing the table seating details for the occasion.
Here I used napkins from Ferm Living, wood utensils from Europris, glass from  and the cute plate is from a restaurant at Copenhagen Airport. I did a research and it is made of leaf sheath of Area palm by a company name Ecovision. I want more!

The card holder is also a souvenir for the guests. I hope that they will like to use it to display photos or notes.
