BERGENS INTERIØR & BOLIGMESSEN

Finally, and after one year stretch -the Interiør & boligmessen, (Interior and design fair), is back in Bergen. This year´s theme was "Handmade is the new black" and it was carefully handpicked to represent the upcoming trend that focus handcraft design with meaning and history as well as up-cycling and re-purpose vintage decor.

This are some of my favorites from the fair:

Beautiful creations from Weave me away! Visit her website to see all the details.

Vintage treasures from Ottogarden.

Green love and decorations from Toneblomst.

Mjølk pop up Bergen, featuring Wik Oslo by Ranghild Wik.
Beautiful ceramic objects inspired by earth, air, water and fire.

Norwegian wood pieces from Krosser.

Always smiling and creatively talented RoomDesign Lisa.

And Norwegian wool from Norwegian Spirit.

I wanted to take more pictures but I was working and I forgot my camera memory card. I am already looking forward for next year fair and I hope to be more social with fellow bloggers, designers and producers.

Candle Christmas Decoration

Christmas... that wonderful time of the year is just around the corner, with the white, green and red colors, the stress, the presents, the cherished family-time... and Santa!

I had the opportunity to "play creative" with some Christmas decoration ideas.

Do you like this cute candle holder?
What a nice feeling to come up with something new using things that I had from before.
I used Norgesglass (mason jar), IKEA candle holders and Christmas decorations that I had from previous holidays.
I will use for sure this easy customization arrangement for other celebrations.
Tag me in your Instagram pictures if you are inspired by me!

Everyday Table Settings

Love the details.

We celebrated my hubby´s birthday with a home-made dinner with the special help of our older son. The table decoration was simple: things that we already had at home became meaningful details.

One of best tips for making everyday table settings a bit more special is to always have nice napkins. I like to buy colorful napkins for all occasions - specially if they are on sale, like this fun and festive ones designed by Bloomingville.

Small cups can be use as flower holders. Today I used Design Letters espresso cups to hold this cute succulents and mark my hubby´s age.

The dinner, the decor, the company... this was a perfect table for four!
