Follow The Rules

Some time ago I was the lucky winner of a check for 50 dollars at Stines Hjem from the fabulous online store Urban Walls. They sell vinyl wall decals that are a quick and affordable way to individualize your home without the hassle of painting. The material they use blends into the wall and gives a gorgeous painted look.

I used my check to order one of the most populars products: House Rules.
My husband found {this} video instructions on how to install it.

Sweet Danielle Hardy, who is the owner, made a small change for us. Instead of: Don't play ball in the house, we wanted: Dance like there's nobody watching. That is an importan rule in our house and our boys agree with us.

We put the decal on the wall up to the stairs and it looks really cool! Thanks Stine & Danielle.

Priceless is...

to be a finalist in Lidyll's Summer Table Challenge together with my favorite blogs ♥
Check it out {here} and vote for your favorite! :)
Voting closes tonight, Tuesday 26, at 23:00 Norwegian time.

This is what Lidyll wrote about my table:
"Summer dress up in bright colors! Lovely decor, beautiful flowers and well composed."

And that is exactly what summer is for me: bright colors and strong contrasts. My best tip for this summer table is the table-runner; It's a leftover from the Ikea panel curtain that I used for my bench makeover. For more summer birthday table tips click {here}

Summer Living Room

I am participating for the first time in a blog challenge in Blad! The June subject is: Livings/Salas and I am very happy to present my living room ready for the summer.

This summer I'm so blue. But happy blue!!!  I've changed all the sofa cushions for this ones from Ikea and Kid and the decoration of center table with blue and white tones. I have even hung our wedding picture there to bring to personal touch.

True Blue

Last time I went to Ikea and thanks to my friend Silvia, (abourbonforsilvia), we went straight to the discount section and we found three BRÖSARP cabinets from Ikea's new limited edition True Blue Collection with 30% discount! Yey!! I got two and Silvia took the other one.

Via
On my next visit to Ikea I am going to do the same: go straight to the discount section!
Why to save the best for last?

Have a nice day!

Finally...

We have a floor on our patio!

We are not going to paint it until next year but that is not going to stop me for making it look like my Morocco outdoor dream with decor, furniture and flowers.

On this space we want to continue the house roof  so we can sit outside even when is raining.
Visually we can still enjoy the patio decoration form our living room.

More pictures to come! Now I am going to put my tired feet on some comfort and moisturising foot socks that I bought at the pharmacy and catch up with inspiring blogs.

God Sommer!

My son Osk, the bobble boy, went to his kindergarten yesterday with six little presents for the amazing and careful men and women that work at his department.

The message is short: good summer and thank you for the dedication during this period of his life.

The present is a cute summerly candle holder fill with chocolates and wrapped in cellophane. The card is marked with stamps on one side and on the other side it's a personal message from the bobble boy.

83 followers! Welcome/Bienvenidos!
Hope the sun is shining wherever you are!

Bubble Boy

I love my bubble boy. He is going to turn six year old in a couple of weeks.

I started 2012 learning how to take interior pictures seating on chair indoors since I couldn't move because of my feet operation, but I am much happier now that I can walk and take pictures outside! Specially now that is summer time.

I am also learning how to use Photoshop Elements 8.0.
Picasa and PicMonkey are easy and fun to use.

My goal is to put a smile on every person face that sees my pictures.
Have a nice day!

Se Habla Español

Living Four Seasons is a blog that I created for expressing myself: a Latin American girl living all the way up north where the year has four seasons and every season change us, not just the way we dress up or the activities we do, also the way we live inside our homes.

During the winter we decorate for Christmas and the house is warm thanks to the fireplace.

During spring we buy flowers and decorate with them outside and the house is fill with bright colors.

During the Summer we have long sun light days and some of us have to paint our houses so they are prepare for another long winter.

And finally Fall, when the cold returns and we enjoy  indoors activities next to candlelight's.

And in between seasons we also celebrate life; birthdays, anniversaries, Norwegian and Colombian traditions that are part of who we are and what we are teaching our children to understand and love.

From now on there will be some post in Spanish in Living Four Seasons. I am proud to be member of Blad, a blog community for Latin American Interior bloggers.

DIY Coffee Candle

The smell of coffee takes me back to my grandparents kitchen table, eating breakfast and chatting with them about nothing and everything...

If you enjoy the smell of coffee, this is a easy DIY idea that you can take home from the grocery store! All you need is coffee beans, a vanilla candle and a vase.

My vanilla candle is from Ikea, vase from Åhléns and coffee beans from Colombia.
Fabulous Maia is challenge us this month to show our favorites scented candles.

Party invitations

My last birthday party tips for this year is this website Print With My Pic, where you can edit party invitations, thank you cards, birthday cards, calendars, announcements cards...etc..  with your own picture. Just edit online and print them.

Thank You Card to print
July calendar templates

I wanted my son's birthday party invitations to look like a movie ticket, and I found this web site while I was searching for inspiration. They came out really cool!
I used the Ticket Invitation 6, that has a classic look.
The bar code is for the RSVP!
The picture that I used for the card is from Not-Quite-Normal

I had so much fun sharing this ideas with all of you.

Let me know if there is something that I can help with. I will love to!
