Me alegra mucho descubrir blogs hispanos que comparten ideas y estilos originales! Escribir y comentar en mi lengua materna es mucho mas fácil. Uno de estos blogs es Petite Candela. Su ultima idea "#decopedia", tiene el todo el espíritu social y creativo por las cuales yo empece mi blog. Cada blog de decoración que quiera unirse a la "#decopedia" tendrá que publicar un post de acuerdo con el tema del mes.

I am delighted to find Hispanic blogs that share ideas and original styles! To write and comment in my native language is much easier for me. One of these blogs is Petite Candela. His latest idea "#decopedia" defines the social and creative spirit of the reason I started my blog. "#decopedia" is a concept where each decoration blog that wants to join have to publish a post every month about an specific theme. This theme is determined by Petite Candela.

Empezamos el mes de Enero el tema: Casas Vestidas Para El Frió.
We started the month of January with the theme: "Homes dressed for the winter season"

Pues en este momento esta haciendo mucho frió por aquí arriba en el norte y mi sala esta llena de cojines, cobijas, lanas y velas. Una mezcla de lo nórdico con colores cálidos para un ambiente acogedor.

It is very cold rigth now up here in the North and my living room is full of cushions, blankets, wool and candles. A mixture of Nordic and warm colors for a cozy contrast.

Me gusta incorporar en la decoración maderas, ramas, pinos y flores que se encuentra en esta temporada.

To bring nature inside, I incorporate wood, branches, pine and flowers that are in season.

Un bonito día frió es un día con luz que me permita disfrutar la vista de la montañas cubiertas de nieve.

A nice cold day is a brigth and clear and allows me to enjoy the view of the mountains covered in snow.

Settle Down - New Season

September is here and I am settling down into a new season.

I plan to enjoy the most of my Marrakech living room this fall. Thanks to my amazing girlfriends I have the most beautiful sofa table, Tine K Home tray table from Morocco with white legs.

And just before I thought that my living room was completed, I got a message that I had two gift certificates waiting for me at AC Home boutique. They where delayed birthday presents from two good friends. This time I chose a cute lantern and a cool stripe vase also from Tine K Home.

The vase is a piece of art itself; gorgeous handmade ceramic that looks nice both with or without flowers.

More of that Marrakech style I love? This lantern totally has it.

This is my way to settle down into a more relaxed season. I also would like to take the opportunity to mention how grateful I am for the things which happened this summer -where we made so many important changes inside and outside of our house and quality time with family and friends.

Maid In Me

With a lot enthusiasm I decided to postpone my blog break to take part in NIB: Are you a maid? blog challenge.

This is the perfect opportunity to blog my "new" living room! I am getting close to my Moroccan style décor thanks to my very good girl-friends that listened to my birthday wishes :)

This is the room where I look forward to have family nights with candles lights and the shadows from my new beautiful lamp during the darkest months of the year.

This was our living room last week.

I just cleaned everything and wanted to star all over again.

This black and white clean style is peaceful and I did enjoyed for a while, but if you have seen my previous posts you've noticed that I love the colors!

My hubby did a super job helping me with this project!

I will blog about our new living room soon!

Desafío Blad: Estilo Escandinavo del2

Con esta foto de mi Ikea hack voy a entrar mi segunda colaboración para el desafío de Blad. Aquí está el post original en el que se pueden ver más detalles sobre este mueble que tiene un lugar especial en mi corazón. En este espacio yo he combinado madera, blanco y azul. Los candelabros turquesa con las velas amarillas anuncian la llegada de la pascua.

With this picture of my Ikea hack I am entering my second collaboration for the challenge of Blad. Here is the original post where you can see more details about this furniture that has a special place in my heart. In this space I have combined wood, white and blue. The turquoise candlesticks with yellow candles announce the arrival of Easter.

From Within - Desde Adentro

In a year my decoration taste has grown within in my desire to travel, discover and enjoy different cultures. In the Master Bedroom me and my hubby dream about New York but in the Living Room a comfortable Moroccan style fills up the room with warm colors.

The oil painting in the wall takes me back to my home in Colombia.

Out With The Old

With only some little changes of colors and details in the living room we are preparing for welcome the New Year.

I got new party lights, this ones from Clas Ohlson can be used indoors, outdoors, or both.

This cute basket from Home & Cottage was a bargain (50% off) and I love the details on the top.

I want to keep the Moroccan style on the living room and this basket inspires me.

I pip up the little glasses that I used for the advent paper candles with the New Year's whistles.

Only 4 days left for the New Year and I am preparing a surprise to celebrate my first year blogging
