Desafío Navidad

Hola amigos de Blad! Me alegra mucho poder saludarlos y de paso participar en el desafió de este mes: Ideas navideñas. Aquí les comparto una idea inspirada por una de mis velas favoritas para la temporada navideña de Tine K Home.
Hello my friends from Blad! I am very happy to greet all of you and to participate in this month challenge: the theme is "Christmas Ideas". I want to share an idea inspired by one of my favorite candles for the holiday season from Tine K Home.

Mientras esperamos el 24 de diciembre hacemos planes con la familia y amigos. Para hacerlo mas emocionante podemos ir contando los días en calendario o de una manera mas cálida con una velita!

 Para esta idea solo necesitan un frasco de vidrio, en este caso yo he guardado uno de mermelada, diseñar como ustedes quieran que se vean los números del 1 al 24 y pegarlo al frasco. Cuando yo hago un proyecto como este me gusta usar papel autoadhesivo. Para la vela pueden usar la que mas les guste, por ejemplo una con olor a navidad.

As we await for December 24th, we make plans with family and friends. To make it more exciting, we can start counting the days on the calendar. And why not to do it in a warmer way with a candle.

You will need only a glass jar (in this case I have kept a jam one), design the numbers from 1 to 24 as you like them to look and then add them to the bottle. When I do a project like this I like to use self-adhesive paper. Put your favorite candle in the jar - you can use a candle with Christmas scent.

Day Eighteen: Baking

Baking before Christmas is one of the traditions that I love to do here in Norway. In fact, what I like the most is seeing my hubby baking since he is really good at it.

Baking it's a fun activity to do with the family and something you can share with friends that come to visit or take with you at work or school.

 Tyske skiver, gingerbread, kakemann and a good cup of hot chocolate or coffee make a perfect combination.

Our new cookie boxes are from Nille; the nice cup was decorated by my younger son Osk and so is the glass with cookies that he made at school.

The star tray is from Home & Cottage and the stars candle holders from Riviera Maison.

Day Seventeen: Vintage

Say hello to Santa, Mrs Santa, Rudolf and Elf.

They are my cute vintage ceramic ornaments that I got from a dear friend a few years ego.

They look so cute inside my favorite advent candleholder from Kremmerhuset. Love it!

Can you believe that are one week away from the big day ♥

 

Day Fifteen: Happy

I have to confess that I not only did some window shopping in Bergen last Tuesday.
I managed to expend some money at the Søstrene Grene store.

I felt for a lovely paper sheet with a trendy geometric design, and my head started to spin around... what can I do with it? Then I saw a cute display shelf and I tough that they would look nice together, and cool in my workspace.

I am using other two paper sheets as a background for this years Christmas card and a beautiful drawing  that me and my hubby got from our younger son.

Espresso cups from Designletters are a graphic, clean and cool advent light, mine were purchased at Kanel.

I am running behind schedule in this blog advent calendar but I am extremely Happy with the outcome, all of your comments and new followers! Thank you

Day Fourteen: And A Happy New Year!

Today I want to share my 2012 new years eve table decoration.

I went for a clean and elegant style with black balloons hanging from the ceiling, a white tablecloth and black and glitter details.

Maybe it is to early to think about the new year, but I just hope to have enough time to put together something nice this year too.

Day Thirteen: Colour

Every Christmas you find two kind of decorations in our home. The second floor is more "grown up" where white, silver and glitter are the main tones in the ambiance.

But on the first floor, the setting is way more playful: here my boys are the masters of all decorations!

 The colourful crafts they do both at home and at school glisten and create a funnier and more pleasant atmosphere - it definitely gives us a boost during the dark winter days.

I am on my way to work, one of two late shifts.

Day Twelve: 3 for 2

3 for 2! Those good deals that make you expend a little extra, specially around this time of the year.

When I find offers like this I try to look for things that I can use for different occasions throughout the year. This time I ended up with a few stars on a stick. I tied some on a rope and hung them in the hallway mirror.

Day Ten: Favorite Corner

A beautiful staircase from Home&Cottage decorates my favorite corner of the house.

(thanks to my friend S. for the gift card).

I've used it lights from Ikea, birds from Home & Cottage, little houses from  Kremmerhuset and in the background hangs one of the stars from Tine K and my alternative advent lights.

I love the result and the harmony of all the details of this corner.

I love Christmas, it is absolutely my favorite time of year!

Day Nine: Challenge "Christmas DIY"

Advent DIY paper candles for those places where real candles can't be use.

Only one picture in this post because I want to enter Hege in France challenge "Christmas DIY".

 I will share more pictures in another post.

Day Eight : Cheating Is Allow

I'm squeezing 8th day of Living Four Seasons advent calendar. Cheating is allow only because I ran out of time yesterday.

Saturday was a day that I've taken to clean up the house and make some crafts such as the one I am showing on the photo of the day 9.

These are the materials that I used:

Cute vintage bottles from Clas Ohlson, that came with a practical tag for the advent numbers

Metric washi tape from Panduro for the advent numbers

 Paper candle templates I found via Google

  mt washi tape to decorate the paper candles

Easy Peasy

Day Six: Christmas in our home

In our home Christmas is all about the Christmas tree.

Since I was little I'm used to put up the Christmas tree from the first of December and I continue this tradition here in Norway. The tree lights help me to get up with a good mood during the dark winter mornings.

We have an artificial tree that this season celebrates 10 years of being with us.

More details from the sofa table. White and silver are the main colors on the second floor of our house. As the days go by the colors red and green enter in the from of crafts made ​​by our children and the bright wrapping paper.
